The short version? I like to take pictures.
The longer one? In 1991, my dad bought me my first camera, a lens, and a bag. I was off and running, capturing images, making mistakes and in the old days anxiously waiting until the film was processed to see what I had captured. Complimenting my love for travel and adventure, fascination with people and thirst for new experiences, my camera has gone with me almost everywhere. Along the way, I was fortunate to spend six years as the program photographer for LIFE STAR, a medical helicopter program based at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. I was fortunate enough to see not only the landscape of New England but also the program's work from a vantage point not many get to see. My goals are simple. First, capture meaningful images I come across throughout my day. Second, go after high risk, high profile shots in the spirit of work, adventure, exploration and story telling. Along the way, I'll continue to grow my collection of images while transitioning further in to the world of digital SLR, medium format, and fine art.
